Christmas 2012

This has been a great year. So much celebrating of Christmas. The Juniorettes entered into the Metro Parade this year. It was a lot of work but so much fun. It was a great time. We went to all of the usual celebrations. Saluda Shoals, Riverbanks Zoo and many others.

Saturday 12-15-2012 Animal Kingdom

Today we went to Animal Kingdom. One of my favorite parks. Straight to the Lion King Show. What an awesome show. No matter how many times we see this show Sarah and I never tire of it. James really liked this show. We went on the character trail and Sarah took a picture with Mickey. We wandered around and looked at a lot of the sights. Of course we had to go on the Kilimanjaro Safari Trip. What a great ride. We got to see so many animals. This is one of my favorite rides. Then over to Mt Everest. Sarah learned all about the single rider line and rode many, many, many times. She was so happy. We caught the bus and headed over to Disney's Beach Club Resort to eat at Cape May Cafe. A wonderful seafood buffet. It was a great meal and we had a great time.

December 13, 2012 HELLO DISNEY!

 

After driving for a little over seven hours, we arrived at Disney. The drive went without any problems.  When we got to Port Orleans Riverside, we got to check in early. So many blessings already. Our room is nice and roomy. We got unpacked and headed to Boatwrights for some breakfast. Then on to Magic Kingdom. I love Disney. I'm so happy to be here with James and Sarah. We rode the Jungle Cruise. Just a relaxing ride. Then to the Tiki Room to listen to the bird show (yes Sarah and James, I know the birds are fake) which I really like. We rode the train to Fantasyland. We enjoyed all the sights along the ride. We went through the Circus tents when we got off the train, where we got to see Daisy and Minnie, we also took pictures with the clowns.  Wanted to eat at Belles castle, but the line was extremely long.

We made an early day of the park because we were all tired. Back to the hotel for a nap. After relaxing for awhile we went to Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat at Boma.
What an awesome meal. We all enjoyed it. Afterwards, we went to downtown Disney to walk around. How beautiful. The trees were all lit up with lights. It looks like magic. How I love the season. The lights and sounds. What a great start to our vacation.
