A Visit with Spencer

Spencer loves Sarah as much as she loves him. He wanted to come see the goats. Sarah took the legs of of her trampoline so that he could jump without falling off. He came running in the house and took James' hand saying "come on, come on". He is so cute you can't refuse him, so we all had to get on the trampoline. Thanks Sarah!!

Week 7

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.   2 Timothy 2:15

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Prov 4:23

As we are involved in another election, I find myself wondering what kind of future are we leaving to our children. A nation to be proud of? Freedom? The ability to work hard and achieve the American dream? We must equip our children for the future, whatever it may look like. We must teach them the Word of God and direct their hearts toward a relationship with our Lord, so that they may be prepared to stand.

This week Sarah and I went to lunch and enjoyed a day together. It was wonderful.
Then we went to a new gym and she tried a gymnastics class. It is a home school class with only six girls in it so there is lots of one on one attention.

The first Juniorettes meeting was this week. It was a great turnout. Tiffany brought a beautiful cake in the clubs colors. Janet went over all the awards that they received at the annual board meeting. Nine or ten in all. They went over what Juniorettes are and then they adjourned to fellowship together. The next meeting will be a planning session.

Sarah's new wallet

Several months ago Sarah had a fit for this purse at an auction and ran the bid until she got it. She has proudly carried it since then. This week while at the flea market she found a wallet that matched it. The man originally wanted 25 dollars for it but she held firm until she got it for 10 dollars. What a deal maker she is. But she is very happy with it and that is what is important. I love this girl.

Update Week 5 & 6

A lot has happened these past few weeks. The best thing about homeschooling is that we can take it with us where
ever we have to go. We spent the better part of a week at the infusion center with James getting infusions. Sarah
wouldn't hear of being at home, so we packed up school and took it with us. She worked a little and then went back and visited. It made for a much happier family and that is what is all about.

We worked on memorizing 2 Cor 6:14-17 and Jer 33:3. In math we are currently working on decimals. In Biology we completed module 3 about Protista, quite a challenge to stay with it but Sarah perservered. Sarah has been studing
atoms and completed her unit on the skeleton. We began a
new unit on the muscles. What amazing information.
Sarah completed a report on Eliza Pickney and indigo. Her reports are getting better or maybe she just liked the subject matter better.

Sarah has ontinued with Spanish and is progressing slowing these last couple of weeks. She contimues to work part time at the auctions and care for her animals. This past week she found a black snake in her duck brooder. A few days later she was collecting eggs and there was another black snake. Yew.

Some photos of the past few weeks. Have a blessed day.
